The TRUST EQUESTRIAN leather bits are a remarkable sight in the TRUST equestrian collection. The core of the leather bit is made of reinforced nylon. The leather that is stiched around this core, is naturally tanned without chemicals. The saliva production softens the leather bit and makes it more pleasant for the horse. The round contstruction and the flexibility of the leather mouthpiece are unique. The flexibility in combination with the taste of the leather, makes the bit particularly suitable for horses with a sensitive mouth. In addition, we notice that mares like the taste of the leather and therefore accept the bit well.
A 2,5 ring bit is a milder version of a 3 ring (Pessoa) bit. With this bit a leverage can be created. The lower the reins are placed, the stronger the bit becomes. An ideal bit for horses that are very strong or hold the bit. Compared to the 2,5 ring, the eggbut rings cannot move loosely and therefore the rein aid works more directly.
Tip: Apply olive oil to the leather bit regulary to keep it supple.
Attention: make sure that the stitching points to the outside, i.e. to the opening of the mouth.
